Health Care
We have a team of nurses and physicians who provide free health screening, teaching and treatment of major health issues in our community such as diabetics, hypertension and malaria.
MALARIA caused by mosquito bites is the leading cause of death among children between ages 1-7 years in the Gambia according to the department of public health of the Gambia. We provide over 5,000 mosquito nets annually to the needy and poor. If on an average, 3 kids share a mosquito net, therefore Glossary seafood and fishing company along with our sister companies saves over 15,000 potential lives annually.
EMPLOYMENT
We have over 250 employees year around of which 65% are women who work so hard to support their families and send their kids to school. If an average employee feeds a house hold of 5 individuals a day, therefore, Glossary Seafood and Fishing Company along with its sister companies feeds over 1,500 hungry mouths every day.
EDUCATION
Currently we sponsor up to 100 students with tuition and books. Most of the kids we sponsored are children with disabilities. We want to give hope to children of special needs that disability isn’t inability.
